俄罗斯国际武器和军事技术展是当今世界较大的陆海空装备和国家防卫展，是通往各国展示其军事实力的最好平台。2008俄罗斯国防装备展汇集了全世界来自23个国家的425家展商， 参展的产品将达到8000种。展会吸引到來自77个國家的官方代表团. 而参观者更是达到了405000位。
